Agreement between EADA and IMD Business School, ranked number 1 worldwide for Open Programmes

Convenio IMDEADA has signed a collaboration agreement with IMD Business School, which has been at the top of the ‘Financial Times’ worldwide ranking for Executive Education – Open Programmes for eight years in a row.

As a result of this agreement, the participants of the General Management Programme (PDG) will be able to take part in both online and onsite programmes organised by IMD. One of these programmes is Orchestrating Winning Performance (OWP) which is a customised five-day course for more than 450 senior executives from all over the world. Held in Lausanne, Switzerland from 22nd- 26th June, this year’s programme aims to promote debate and analysis of more than 45 topical issues. Some of the speakers confirmed to appear include Peter Baker, President and CEO of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Kirsty Coventry, Minister of Youth, Sport, Art and Recreation for Zimbabwe and the Siemens President, Jim Hagermann Snabe.

The agreement also envisages the creation of custom programmes (tailored to each company) and the joint organisation of events in the business sector, which aim to improve the national and international positions of both business schools.

Stein Jacobsen, Corporate Director at IMD Iberian Partner, explains that “we have been following EADA’s impressive evolution over the last few years which is why it is now an honour to enter into this collaboration”. In his opinion, “EADA’s presence in Spain and Latin America gives us the opportunity to reach areas of the business world where we had little visibility before now. We also share fundamental values regarding commitment to quality and a passion for training. This way of doing things is facilitated by the fact that both foundations are completely independent.”

In Jacobsen’s opinion, “this agreement gives EADA the opportunity to include in its portfolio the continuous updating of solutions for executive training, which are designed to make a significant impact on business as well as personal development”.

Pau Roig, Director of Executive Education and Corporate Programmes at EADA, confirms that “this partnership will take us one step further as leaders in quality and excellence in management training”. He adds that, “this is more than just a one-off agreement for one programme. It is a strategic agreement for EADA which has enormous potential for both institutions for the open and custom programmes”.
